Overview

ACLS initial $ 165.00

Students may request a date change with 10 days advanced notice; however, a change fee of $50.oo will apply. Students are required to buy the ACLS Provider Manual before class. Both books and e-books can be purchased on the American Heart Association website. Either the book or e-book must be available during the course; both may be used for a resource during the exam. Students are also required to have an up-to-date BLS card

ACLS builds upon the fundamentals of BLS. It is geared toward healthcare professionals that participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiac emergencies. ACLS provides the science behind cardiopulmonary resuscitation with a focus on early activation of the emergency response system, high- quality CPR, early defibrillation, and the role of team dynamics in facilitating the resuscitation process The ACLS course is fast-paced and requires specific preparation. All individuals attending ACLS class must complete and pass the ACLS pretest. The pretest can be accessed using the code in the provider manual.

To gain entry into class, each student will be required to have a completed pre-test, ACLS Provider Manual, and copy of an up-to-date BLS provider card.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.

Features:

The courses uses learning stations for practice of essential skills simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active participation hands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency.  Classroom-based works well for learners who prefer group interaction and instructor feedback while learning skills. 

Content: 

  • Basic Life Support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag mask device, and use of an AED
  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Recognition and initial management of peri-arrest conditions such a symptomatic bradycardia
  • Airway management
  • Related pharmacology
  • Management of ACS and stroke
  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team.

ACLS Blended Learning skills session $90

Students may request a date change with 10 days advanced notice; however, a change fee of $50.oo will apply. Students must order and complete the AHA ACLS Heartcode session on-line. Once completed, bring in a copy of your certificate and complete your skills station and testing with us
