BLS is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. This video-based, instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and pre-hospital settings. This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills.
The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an AED. In this instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students will work with an instructor and will demonstrate hands-on proficiency. A written exam will be conducted upon completion of the course.
What does CCRN Mean?
CCRN is a board certification that can be obtained by nurses who care for patients in acute care and/or critical care settings. CCRN is a registered trademark and does not stand for “Critical Care Registered Nurse” but rather is an affirmation of certification that a registered nurse (RN) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) has met the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) eligibility requirements and has successfully passed the CCRN examination.

Our two-day class provides students the information needed to pass the Florida State Challenge Exam. The second eight hour day is for completing CPR certification and practice skills station to replicate the skills testing portion of the Florida State Exam given by Prometric.

This classroom, Instructor-led course uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics.
